'Game of Thrones' season 7 spoilers: Another Stark reunion set; Jon Snow and Daenerys to meet

The seventh season of HBO's phenomenal fantasy television series "Game of Thrones" may still be more or less a year away from its release, however, rumors and speculative tidbits continue to make their rounds online in a thick and heavy slew. One of the most recent rumors involves the resurrected Lord Commander and now newly appointed King of the North, the bastard Jon Snow (Kit Harrington) and the mutilated son of the sea, Theon Greyjoy (Alfie Allen).

Winter is Coming reports that word has been spreading that Jon and Theon may meet again in the upcoming season of "Game of Thrones," another waterworks Stark reunion. Though Theon may officially be of the Greyjoy banner, he was taken as ward by Lord Eddard Stark (Sean Bean) and had been raised in Winterfell alongside the other Stark children as well as Jon.

Apparently, a few sources have informed that "Game of Thrones" spoiler site that Jon will be traveling south for some reason and there, he will reunite with the changed Theon.

The two men have been through so much ever since the beginning of the series, and it would be interesting to see how the two would react when they reunite. During season 6 of "Game of Thrones," Theon had been afraid of meeting Jon, figuring that the Lord Commander of the Wall would probably hang him by the head after previously taking over their old home, Winterfell.

Fans are hoping for a reconciliation between the two, after all winter is coming swiftly and Jon needs all the help he can get.

In other "Game of Thrones" season 7 news, Express reports that the mother of dragons Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) could be meeting with Jon in the upcoming season. During season 6, fans of the series learned about the true lineage of Jon, finding out that he had actually been the son of Ned's sister Lyanna and Rhaegar Targaryen.

Having the two meet marks another exciting point in the series, and many wonder what would come of their meeting.

"Game of Thrones" season 7 is expected to be released sometime in 2017.
