The hit franchise "Kingdom Hearts" has been one of the most popular video games ever since its release. Now, the third installment "Kingdom Hearts 3," is set to conquer the hearts of the gamers once more and the hype about it has not died down after it was announced.
The game is being developed by Square Enix and Disney and it will be made available for the PS4 and Xbox One. This has been confirmed by franchise game director Tetsuya Nomura. However, the gaming world was surprised with the news that the upcoming game will be available for the Nintendo NX as well.
In an article by Destructoid, a photo of "Kingdom Hearts 3" was on display on an Australian webstore with the caption, "TBC 2017." It is apparently priced at $119.95, which matches the other titles that will soon become available for the NX. These include "The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild" and "Just Dance 2017."
The game was reportedly displayed on the webstore for a given amount of time before it was taken down, sparking rumors that the upcoming Disney-themed video game will indeed be out for the upcoming console.
Some speculators, on the other hand, are not quite convinced. They believe that the game was only posted by accident.
EB Games Australia immediately addressed the rumor and explained on Twitter that the item was never made available for pre-order. They wrote, "Hey there! This item has never been available for preorder on our website. I would guess some amount of Photoshop was involved."
Movie News Guide wrote, however, that it is possible that "Kingdom Hearts 3" will still be out for the Nintendo NX since Square Enix already confirmed their role as a third-party publisher for Nintendo titles such as "Dragon Quest XI" and "Dragon Quest X."
"Kingdom Hearts 3" has no release date announced yet, but the "Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue" is expected to have a global release on December 2016.
