Rock the Universe 2017, one of the biggest Christian music festivals this year, is set to take place at the Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida, on Sept. 8 and 9 and is expected to include a lineup of the most famous Christian artists of this generation.
Participants in Rock the Universe 2017 will be able to fill up their weekend with faith and family, and at the same time, enjoy the fun rides at the Universal Studios theme park. In a statement shared with The Christian Post, performer Luke Smallbone of for KING & COUNTRY said the mega Christian party was one of their favorite shows and conveyed his excitement over the upcoming event.
On Friday, the concert will be kicked off by Grammy Award-winning worship leader Chris Tomlin, followed by Lecrae and Kari Jobe at the Music Plaza Stage. Lauren Daigle, Social Club Misfits, and 7eventh Time Down will also perform at the Hollywood Stage. GAWVI, Hollyn, and Steven Malcolm will be at the Coca-Cola FanZone.
Saturday will see Casting Crowns, for KING & COUNTRY, and Family Force 5 performing at the Music Plaza Stage. Brandon Heath, Andy Mineo, and Ryan Stevenson, on the other hand, will take over the Hollywood Stage. Lastly, DJ Promote, For All Seasons, Hannah Kerr, and Aaron Cole will grace the Coca-Cola FanZone.
Last year, TobyMac and Tim Timmons were part of the Rock the Universe concert lineup. The two Christian artists told Orlando Sentinel how much they enjoy singing and performing live for their audiences.
Timmons also shared how God transformed his life and enabled him to exceed the five remaining years he was supposed to live after he was diagnosed with terminal cancer more than 15 years ago. With still 13 tumors in his liver, he said he quit trying to tell Jesus his limits and instead yielded to wherever the Lord wanted to send him.
Aside from the concerts, there will be a special candle-lighting ceremony on Saturday night. More information on Rock the Universe 2017 is available on this link.
