God does not call us to be perfect, said Duck Dynasty's Sadie Robertson, who shared an important message on living orginial and being confident.
The teen role model took to Instagram to post her thoughts to her 2 million followers, continuing with her ongoing theme of "living original."
"God doesn't call us to be perfect. I will never be perfect, but I do serve a perfect God," Robertson wrote.
"Just be YOU. live original. be confident," she added.
Robertson echoed her book, Live Original: How the Duck Commander Teen Keeps It Real and Stays True to Her Values, which encourages readers to embrace their flaws and find confidence in God.
Two months ago, Robertson shared an inspiring message in a YouTube video to "be yourself and live original" as she opened up about her own insecurities and how looking to superficial goals will only bring you down.
"I'm going to hit you with a reality," she says in the seven-minute video, which now has millions of views. "I'm just going to be straight up honest with everything," before diving into her insecurities.
"I struggle with jealousy, and I struggle with comparing myself to other people," Sadie, who went make-up free, disclosed. "I struggle with worry, and I'm really hard on myself. I'm just like any other girl - I look in the mirror and I pick out a flaw."
She said that trying to reach superficial goals will do nothing but bring you down and you are never going to be content with who you are unless you let God in.
"Don't look at somebody and say 'that's what I want to be' because in reality, if you're seeking self-approval or human approval you're never gonna reach your goal. You can only reach it by God."
She noted that some of the biggest struggles many deal with involve jealousy and worry. "The Bible says jealousy is 'cancer to the bones,'" Robertson said, while citing several verses from the Bible, including 1 Samuel.
"You can sit here and you can try to reach this 'goal' -- this image that you have in your mind that you wish you could be but it's just going to tear you down."
"If you're like me and you were out there searching at one point and you were comparing yourself to others and you were looking at goals, maybe talk to God; maybe try something new; maybe open your Bible; maybe pray about it; maybe just see what God has to say about it."
