While fans debate on whether "Grand Theft Auto 6" or "Red Dead Redemption 2" will come out first, there are rumors that the latter title will be released alongside the PS4 Neo.

Rockstar Games is still keeping a tight lip about the possibility of a "Red Dead Redemption 2," despite them already confirming that they are currently working on "exciting new projects." Their announcement has ignited hope that "RDR 2" is one of the games that they are currently working on.

While the title is expected to be released for the current models of consoles, another rumor claims that it may be released for the PS4 Neo as well. However, rumors claim that Rockstar Games will release it as "Red Dead Redemption 3" instead of "Red Dead Redemption 2" since the anticipated title is already the third sequel in the franchise.

It could be noted that the first game was titled "Red Dead Revolver" and came out for PS2 and Xbox.

Furthermore, Take Two CEO Strauss Zelnick reportedly hinted at the title's on-going franchise. He previously stated that "Red Dead Redemption" is already a "permanent" title in Rockstar, which implies that a sequel would come out inevitably, even if no one knows when that will happen.

However, Zelnick said that the company has been "selective" of what games they will publish first as they do not want to flood the market with several titles. He explained that they would choose to encourage fans with good games that are well-distributed.

The only thing fans are holding on to right now is Rockstar's confirmation that they will announce the new projects they are currently working on before 2016 ends.
