All Nations Christian College announced April 29 that Tim Young has been appointed as the new chief executive officer.

Young, a graduate of the Hertfordshire-based Bible college known for its cross-cultural training, is married to Ruth, a trained doctor and counselor. The couple has three married adult children, two grandchildren, and a third grandchild on the way.

Young served in the Middle East for many years, “helping people and organisations to shape change, build relationships and drive vision,” according to an All Nations press release.

The college described Young as an experienced leader who combines theological training with insight into organizational culture and change.

“He joins the college as we re-shape to serve and partner with the global church, cultivating biblically-rooted, hope-filled and culturally relevant engagement with God's mission by training and equipping disciples of Jesus Christ,” the statement said.

"This is an exciting season to engage with God and His people. Christians around the world are looking for fresh ways to demonstrate and declare God’s love to those who are near and far off. The global church is continuing to explore how to develop the skills, character, and relationships to enable others to access God’s glorious riches,” said Young.

“I am eager to hear what God is doing already and to help All Nations listen and work with the global church, so that we all learn how to play our part with diverse communities around the world. We are one body, though there are many parts. As we discern together how God wants us knitted together and how He wants to equip His church, we will find delight in Him and His service."

Rev. Dr. V.J. Samkutty, known as “Sam” and a third-generation Pentecostal Christian, was thanked by the college for his “dedicated interim leadership” prior to Young’s appointment. Samkutty will now serve as Academic Principal, overseeing the continuation of college teaching and training services.

Ben Stanley, chair of the Board of Trustees of All Nations Christian College, which is accredited by the Open University, praised Young’s appointment.

"Training and equipping for missional engagement remains critical and relevant for the church globally, in particular the balance of biblical, intercultural and formational teaching that is distinctive to All Nations,” said Stanley.

“To meet the needs of our students, we are evolving our ways of training — introducing greater flexibility whilst maintaining excellence, and building partnerships with the global church to sharpen us all.

“Tim joins All Nations as we change ourselves, and I'm delighted as he brings deep insight into leadership, relationship and organisational change as well as a demonstrated heart for God's mission and people. We're very much looking forward to working with Tim and the wider leadership team as we respond to the vision set before us."

All Nations Christian College will mark its 60th anniversary with a special celebration on May 31, 2025, with a “past, present and future focus.” Former Principal Rev. Dr. David Harley will give the address. The event will be livestreamed, and several mission organizations will be present alongside an immersive photo and memorabilia exhibit and an art exhibition.
