James (Jamie) Taylor is the great-great-grandson of Hudson Taylor, founder of the China Inland Mission, now OMF International. He has university and M.Div. and D.Min. degrees from Asbury Theological Seminary. He has served with the Chinese Bible Church of Greater Boston, Campus Evangelical Fellowship in Taiwan, and OMF International, focusing especially on mission mobilization, cross-cultural missions, and the training of mission leaders. In August 2020, he became the eighth president of China Evangelical Seminary.
In a lecture series at China Evangelical Seminary back in April, Alexander Chow, Senior Lecturer in Theology and World Christianity at New College, University of Edinburgh, established the need for Christians worldwide to listen to theologians from the Majority World. The future of the Global Church depends on us having ears to hear.
