Evangelical leaders from across Europe will convene in Golem, Albania, Oct. 5-9, 2026, for HOPE 2026, a continental gathering aimed at addressing complex social, political and spiritual challenges.
Hosted by the European Evangelical Alliance (EEA) under the theme “Hope in Uncertain Times,” the event will bring together delegates from churches, ministries, networks and national evangelical alliances to discuss the future of evangelical witness across the continent.
“Without hope, we face life’s difficulties and uncertainties with despair,” Connie Duarte, co-general secretary of the EEA, previously told Christian Daily International about the event, citing Paul’s words in 1 Corinthians 15:19. “But with our eyes fixed on Jesus, we face them with joy.”
Duarte described Christ as “our hope for now, our hope for the future, and our eternal hope,” who strengthens believers across Europe and promises a day when all nations will worship together.
Unlike traditional speaker-driven conferences, HOPE 2026 is designed around collaboration and participation. Organizers say the insights and solutions needed to address Europe’s current challenges are already present among the attending leaders. The schedule will include plenary sessions, worship, devotionals, workshops and networking discussions.
A central goal of the five-day gathering is to strengthen practical partnerships among national evangelical alliances, thematic networks and leaders working across various sectors of society.
The event is part of a broader series of gatherings in Golem. Delegates can participate in four partner conferences taking place immediately before and after HOPE 2026, organized by the International Council of Evangelical Engagement with Muslims, the European Evangelical Mission Association, the Fellowship of European Evangelical Theologians and the Peace and Reconciliation Network.
