British public say belief in God is not needed to feel thankful, university study claims
Research by the secular Policy Institute at King’s College London claims that most members of the British public do not think belief in God is needed to feel thankful for life or existence. The institute carried out the research with Opinium, which involved a nationally representative survey of 2,050 people aged 18-plus between Oct. 23 and Oct. 24, 2025.
