Thousands of Christians across the Philippines joined the 14th annual Jesus Reigns Celebration Sunday on Nov. 30, a nationwide day of worship marked by synchronized motorcades, praise gatherings and public declarations of faith. Organizers said both Filipino and foreign participants took part in events across multiple provinces.
Jesus Reigns Philippine Celebration (JRPC), founded in 2012, is a non-denominational movement that unites believers from different churches for a national day of worship, prayer and community outreach. The group emphasizes honoring Jesus Christ rather than highlighting personalities or denominations.
This year’s theme, “Living Sacrifice,” called on participants to fully surrender to God. Organizers urged Christians to “offer their lives as holy sacrifices, living for His glory and advancing His kingdom on earth,” describing the theme as central to the spiritual direction of the 2025 celebration.
Activities included motorcades with Biblical messages and coordinated worship services across provinces.
Organizers said the 2025 celebration focused on hope and spiritual renewal. They stressed the event remains nonpolitical. “Our celebration has been going on since 2012, independent of any political ties,” the group said in an official statement on Nov. 29.
It said that JRPC’s core values are summarized in the acronym P.A.U.S.E., which stands for: Prayer, Anonymity, Unity, Sacrificial-giving and Excellence in worship. The movement highlighted its commitment to 2 Chronicles 7:14, which calls for national healing through humility, prayer, repentance and seeking God.
Across the country, worship leaders and participants proclaimed unity. “We join the voices of every creature in heaven and on earth to proclaim His Lordship over all things. Let the King be exalted over all the provinces and across the Philippines — no other name but Jesus,” one participant wrote on social media. Many also repeated the declaration “Jesus Reigns” seven times as a symbolic act of faith.
Another participant summed up her reflection of the day, saying, “In a world filled with noise and uncertainty, we stand firm and proclaim that hope has a name — Jesus.”
