Christian Daily International wins second place in EPA Award of Excellence

EPA2025 Award of Excellence

Christian Daily International has been awarded second place in the Evangelical Press Association’s (EPA) Award of Excellence in the category of Newspaper/Online News. The winners were announced during the EPA’s annual convention, held May 4–6, 2025, in Branson, Missouri.

The Awards of Excellence recognize overall excellence across an entire publication. Judges evaluate multiple factors including writing quality, editorial content, visual design, and navigability. The honor marks the second major recognition for Christian Daily International. In October 2024, the publication also earned second place in the EPA’s “Best in Class” awards.

“Christian Daily International truly offers a global view of the global Christian Church. The impressive range of articles and content serves a broad spectrum of readership. Its emphasis on trustworthy news is excellent,” one judge said.

“The site is easy to navigate. The traditional look and design fits its ethos,” the judge added.

Judges also offered constructive feedback, recommending that the publication further elevate women’s voices in its opinion section—a goal Christian Daily International has already been pursuing.

“We are honored to be recognized by the EPA and encouraged by the judges’ affirmation of our global vision, the breadth of our content, and our commitment to trustworthy journalism,” said Gordon Showell-Rogers, international director of Christian Daily International.

“As a relatively new publication, we are committed to steadily building on this growing reputation and to becoming increasingly representative of the global Church, with more unheard voices from all over the world telling their own stories in their own languages,” Showell-Rogers said.

The EPA, founded in 1948, brings together Christian publications from across North America and beyond, encouraging excellence in journalism and publishing that serves the evangelical community.
