The Evangelical Council of Venezuela (CEV) released a message on Saturday addressed to its member churches and the wider public, expressing concern over recent events affecting the nation and reaffirming its call to faith, responsibility and social peace.
In the statement, issued by its Executive Directorate, the organization expressed spiritual solidarity with those impacted by the current situation. “We extend our prayers and solidarity to all brothers and fellow citizens who are experiencing moments of uncertainty or fear,” the CEV said, adding that it continues to place its trust in God amid the national circumstances. “We reaffirm our confidence in the sovereignty of God, who reigns over the nations and guides history according to His eternal purpose.”
The message also urged people not to give in to fear and to act with wisdom and restraint. “We exhort everyone not to be dominated by fear or anxiety,” the council said, while encouraging the public to limit constant exposure to social media and to devote more time to prayer, fellowship and caring for their families.
The evangelical body reaffirmed its commitment to proclaiming the Gospel, strengthening the Christian community and seeking the common good. The statement concluded with a prayer for peace and lasting transformation in the country and was signed by Pastor José G. Piñero, executive director of the Evangelical Council of Venezuela, under the biblical motto, “Righteousness exalts a nation.”
