A ministry working to reach Romanian students with the gospel has opened a new Christian school designed to integrate academic excellence with biblical values and English-language education.
Assured Hope Ministries, based in the city of Arad, recently launched the Adamant International Centre — the first English-speaking Christian private school in the area — in partnership with Refuge for the Soul. The school, which opened last month, uses the Accelerated Christian Education (A.C.E.) curriculum to teach English, reading, writing and mathematics while grounding every subject in Scripture and Christian character formation.
“The Lord has opened many doors for us to provide a life-changing educational experience that integrates academic excellence with spiritual growth,” said Billy Miller, who co-founded Assured Hope Ministries with his wife, Oana.
“By offering classes in English, we aim to equip students with valuable language skills, while also shaping character and instilling a sense of purpose through Christian values woven into the curriculum.”
According to the ministry, bullying, drugs and moral decline are “pressing challenges in public schools worldwide, and Romanian youth are not immune — struggling under a secular system that often leaves students without hope.”
Assured Hope Ministries has worked for the past eight years bringing the light of the gospel into elementary, middle and high school students.
Children attend daily classes at the new school reportedly positive changes have been observed in both the students and their families. Christians in Romania reportedly hope that the school initiative will expand across the country eventually, which continues to grapple with its difficult historic legacy from the days of communism.
The ministry has also provided practical support showing compassion “far beyond the classroom.” Before the new school opened, ministry workers distributed dozens of backpacks filled with school supplies to children in less affluent communities.
“Our mission is simple,” said Billy Miller. “We want to bring the hope and light of the Gospel into places of darkness. In a world where so many young people are lost, God has called us to be His hands and feet in Romania.”
