The international board of Trans World Radio (TWR) has appointed Andy Schick as the global media ministry’s next president and CEO. He will assume the role in August 2025, succeeding Lauren Libby, who served in the position for 16 years.
The appointment follows a global executive search process. Schick, a New Zealand native, brings experience in both ministry and technology sectors. He has previously served in executive leadership roles at World Vision and several technology firms, and has advised TWR partner ministry Reach Beyond. His background includes work in digital transformation, marketing, and education infrastructure.
“TWR was pushing the boundaries of how to reach unreached people groups over 70 years ago, and it’s still pushing those boundaries,” Schick said. “It remains entrepreneurial and innovative, technically savvy yet deeply rooted in the heart of God.”
Schick will be based in New Zealand but will travel regularly and work closely with TWR’s executive team, including a chief operating officer based at the ministry’s headquarters in Cary, North Carolina.
Founded in 1954, TWR is a global Christian media organization focused on using traditional and digital platforms to reach audiences with biblical programming in over 300 languages and dialects.
