More than 300 cadets of the Buenos Aires Provincial Police publicly professed their Christian faith last Friday (Dec. 5) after being baptized at the Juan Vucetich Police Academy in an event attended by evangelical leaders and senior provincial officials.
A total of 312 cadets took part in the ceremony, which was organized through the Evangelical Chaplaincy of the Buenos Aires Provincial Police and supported by the Christian Alliance of Evangelical Churches of the Argentine Republic (ACIERA). The baptism marked a rare and highly visible expression of evangelical faith within Argentina’s largest provincial police force.
The event brought together men and women preparing to enter the security services, along with religious leaders, government officials and institutional representatives. Participants gave public testimony of their faith as they were baptized during the ceremony.

ACIERA President Christian Hooft attended alongside members of the alliance’s national executive council and representatives from provincial pastoral councils.
According to ACIERA, the ceremony was the result of ongoing pastoral work carried out by the Evangelical Chaplaincy of the Buenos Aires Provincial Police, led by chaplain Diego Espíndola and his team, who provide spiritual care and counseling to police cadets and officers.
Provincial authorities in attendance included Buenos Aires Security Minister Javier Alonso; Provincial Police Chief Javier Villar; Chief of Advisors Cristina Álvarez Rodríguez; and Director of Religious Affairs Juan Torreiro.
ACIERA said it offered prayers for Espíndola and for the police leadership, noting that the gathering strengthened institutional relationships within the police academy.
The alliance described the event as a moment of unity and spiritual encouragement for young men and women preparing to serve the public across the province.
