US evangelical group launches petition urging Christian support for life-saving foreign aid
The National Association of Evangelicals is urging Christians to unite in support of “life-saving foreign aid” through a new petition it plans to present to lawmakers next month. The campaign, titled Compassion for a World in Need, emphasizes that Christians have historically “led efforts to care for the world’s most vulnerable — feeding the hungry, clothing the poor and serving those in need as an expression of Christ’s love.”
