Fun Chile ministry initiative lets children simulate their first missionary trip

At the initiative of the Chilean ministry “Evangelio Creativo” (Creative Gospel), a group of children and pre-teens participated in a simulation of their first missionary trip in the city of Concepción, Chile. The activity included a time of preparation, a simulated arrival in a foreign country with passport and immigration checks, and training for outreach.

Opinion

  • The benefits of discipline for raising godly adults

Parents can too easily experience continual frustration and marital conflict because of their children’s lack of obedience. Homes lack joy. Instead, they are filled with angry voices and aggravated cries, as parents try their best to do a job they have no training for and few (if any) healthy role models.

  • Helping our children in a time of overwhelming anxiety

The suicide rate in the USA among 10-14-year-old children had nearly tripled in the last decade, while the rate for older teens increased by 76%. Children and teens worldwide can experience social isolation, health fears, and the uncertainty all around them, realizing that their parents don’t always know how to deal with difficult circumstances. All these can easily lead to depression. But we can provide real hope by helping them to rest in God.
